As part of Shahi’s CSR pillar Soukyam | Health, under the broader Responsible for People framework, this project supported the installation of community water purification units as an outreach initiative program in Shivamogga, Karnataka. Implemented in collaboration with local Gram Panchayats in Nidhige, Machenahalli, and Jyothi Nagar in 2024.
The scope of my work involved designing large hoardings for on-site communication, along with instructional cards in Kannada and Hindi to ensure accessibility across local user groups and compliance with regional requirements. The communication needed to be immediately understandable for a diverse audience with varying literacy levels. The design approach was direct, using familiar cues such as blue colour tones, water imagery and fluid wave-like forms to create instant association with clean drinking water. This initiative reached around 760 households and 3800 beneficiaries.
